The annual Hands4Hope Warm and Fuzzy Drive was a success because of the enthusiastic involvement of our local schools! Silva Valley Elementary collected over 625 new and gently used warm clothing items; Lakeview Elementary collected 256 new and gently used pajamas and made 10 no-sew blankets; Marina Middle School collected 433 new and gently used warm clothing items. In addition, Intel collected over 250 new and gently used items and local community members generously donated items throughout the months of October and November.
The Winter Boutique Committee worked very hard to wash and sort all the donated items and are currently setting them up to be displayed in a boutique style store where we invite families in need to shop for free.
A big Thank You to all who donated items, to our Winter Boutique Committee members and their adult lead Madeleine Vadenais, as well as to our adult volunteer Gen Walk, who helped us pick up all the clothing from the different schools and businesses!
