Welcome - Please tell us a little bit about yourself!
I grew up in Ohio and met my husband while in college. His work in construction brought us to California 39 years ago and we’ve never looked back! We have a son in his mid-30s who recently decided to go back to school to get his MBA and a law degree from University of Montana in Missoula.
What were you involved with before starting with Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference?
For 14 years I worked as an administrative assistant at Blue Shield of CA here in EDH. I retired in early 2023 and took some time off to relax. In May of 2024 I started volunteering at The Discovery Store in Folsom which is an upscale thrift store where proceeds go to The American Cancer Society.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Cycling, girlfriend trips and doing various craft projects.
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know or are surprised to learn?
I’ve done the 100 mile cycle ride around Lake Tahoe called America’s Most Beautiful Ride - twice!
What goals do you have for your work with Hands4Hope?
Help take work off the shoulders of our busy team members where I can and help out at events.
What are you most looking forward to in working with Hands4Hope?
Learning more about the nonprofit world and making work life easier for our dedicated staff.
Anything else you would like to add?
Very excited to have this opportunity at Hands4Hope and be a small part of the amazing things we do to help our youth and community.
