Sponsor Spotlight | David and Sharon Handler

Updated: Aug 1

David and Sharon Handler have generously supported Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference through sponsorship for many years.

This year, they chose to provide extra support to the School Supply Drive.

"The first day of school is an exciting time for children," said Sharon Handler. "It can also be a time of uncertainty and apprehension, which is the reason we donated to the School Supply Drive. This program gives underprivileged children a new backpack filled with new school supplies. It is a fantastic way to help these schoolchildren feel confident and prepared for the new year."

Tell us about yourselves.

In our former working lives we were McDonald's franchisees. We are now retired, and own a real estate management company which gives us the flexibility to pursue interests such as philanthropy, which is where Hands4Hope comes in.

Share with us why you choose to sponsor Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference.

Over the years we have been impressed with the mission and direction Hands4Hope has taken with their youth leadership and service programs. It is important for the youth of today to be involved in these programs, such as community and homeless outreach, and food collection and distribution so that they perpetuate these philanthropies. They must learn to lead and to serve the less fortunate, and we feel Hands4Hope makes this possible. With the expansion of on-campus Club programs, Hands4Hope is engaging more and more youth to empower themselves to learn and to give in a way to make a difference to others. It is our hope that these invaluable leadership skills will be implemented by these young people throughout their lives.

The generous sponsorship provided by Dave and Sharon Handler makes it possible for Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference to impact lives of youth and those they serve in need in the community. Thank you to David and Sharon Handler for generously supporting this mission!
