Founded in 2008, Hands4Hope – Youth Making A Difference is a nonprofit youth driven organization with the mission to inspire and empower youth in leadership and service. Hands4Hope offers hands-on education and outreach opportunities to youth through on-campus and after-school programs in Sacramento and El Dorado Counties, California.
At Hands4Hope, our mission is to inspire and empower youth in leadership and service. We give youth a platform for their voice on issues affecting our community and provide them the opportunity to take action in their own way.
Our vision is a community of civic-minded and socially responsible citizens for generations to come.
Through our programs, youth are able to serve those in need today while developing their own skills for college, career, and life.
We believe that our process is more important than the product. Still, through Hands4Hope’s unique service-learning curriculum, youth are able to achieve meaningful contributions to the community, such as these accomplishments from the 2025-26 program year:
Clubs at middle and high schools in El Dorado County provide a year-long service-learning experience in a small group environment.
After-school committees provide opportunities for 6th – 12th grade youth to create service-learning projects that help fill unmet community needs.
Hands-on activities for youth of all ages directly address human and community needs, empowering youth to make a positive difference.
Leadership opportunities at various levels for all youth participants, middle school through college.
