Youth Recognition Dinner Was A Success!

July 4, 2018

On June 28th, we held the 10th annual Youth Recognition Event, Sunflowers-the Seeds of Service. At this event we were able to recognize youth who participate in both our Community Engagement and our Education Programs. Hands4Hope awards youth with Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum awards, depending on the number of hours served in the program year. In addition to the Hands4Hope Service Awards, we also award the prestigious Presidential Service Award to qualifying youth. This year 41 youth qualified for the Presidential Service Award, which is double the amount of youth who qualified last year!

At this family friendly dinner event, youth, board members and staff were also able to reflect on the past year, as well as share some goals for the year ahead. Even though our youth participants may not seek recognition for their service, their example delivers a powerful message that encourages others to take action! Hands4Hope is proud to recognize the tremendous contribution these youth have made to both our organization and our community!
